My guest today is the founder of Saddleback. Saddleback is the result of several years he journeying across North America with his dog to create bags and other products made to outlast their owners. Their slogan is: They’ll fight over it when you’re dead.
His founding story is one of legend. He spent three years living in a $100 a month apartment in Mexico with his dog Blue and dodged a crooked Mexican Federale who was sent to kill him, all while trying to start his business.
Saddleback currently has over 250 employees in the US and Mexico, where they have built their own leather factories.
